Sewing Together is a unique educational program designed to teach you how to sew, design, create sewing patterns, but also to train you in the elements of business. <\/span>It allows women facing economic hardship to achieve independence.<\/b> This program was created in 2018 by Maja Kotal. It has already had editions in Uganda and Kenya.<\/span><\/p>\n Collection <\/span>Laparica x Sewing Together<\/b> was founded in Mombasa, in a small atelier in the Bamburi district. Today it is taught by 5 extraordinary women: <\/span>Saida, Jenny, Ethel, Bella and Maureen<\/b>. They are the creators of the colorful dresses, kimonos and tunics that you can find in the Laparica store. To create this collection we used <\/span>100% cotton: Kreton and Kikoi<\/b>It is a hand-woven material used by tribes in Kenya to tie around the waist.
